Murray is developing his potential thus far. Murray, the seventh overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, is averaging 17.4 points per game, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.6 assists.

In the 17th annual NBA.com GM Survey, Murray was selected as the player who'll likely have a breakout season. he got 20 percent of the votes. Right behind him was Brandon Ingram who got 10% of the votes. So it's not a surprise that Murray is performing well this season. People around the league expect Murray to do great sooner or later.

Though he may be inconsistent at times, there's no denying that Murray possesses the talent to be tagged as an all-star in the league. Chris Paul of the Houston Rockets, who is fond of mentoring younger guards like Murray, believes that the 21-year-old doesn't have a ceiling to his potential. Per Harrison Wind of BSN Denver:

“Ceiling? I don’t think he has one. He’s in a great situation playing for a great coach who gives him the freedom…I think that’s completely up to him.”

In their 117-85 win over the Lakers, Murray finished with 20 points, four assists, and three rebounds. He shot 8-of-18 from the field and 2-of-5 from downtown. The win brings his team's record to 14-7, extending their winning streak to four games.
