New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis is already one of the most athletically gifted players in the NBA. When he unleashes moves like the Shammgod, he becomes impossible to guard. Unfortunately for the JaMychal Green of the Memphis Grizzlies, he was the victim of the nasty skill move on Monday afternoon.

Davis has been having another MVP worthy season for the Pelicans, full of breathtaking alley-oop dunks and impossible blocks. Unfortunately for him, his play hasn't translated to team success, and the Pelicans are a lowly 18-22, second to last in the Western Conference.

ā€œThe Browā€ is currently averaging 28.5 points per game, and if he continues along this pace it would be a new career high.

To go along with the points, Davis is also averaging 13.3 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.8 steals, and 2.6 blocks. In short, he is stuffing the box score in every possible category.

Lots of talk has revolved around the Kentucky product's future. It can't be enjoyable for Davis to produce at such a high-level year after year, only for his team to not produce andĀ put together a long playoff run.

Since Davis has been locked up by the Pelicans for at least two more seasons, the only way out of New Orleans is a trade, and plenty of teams would love to have the generational talent in their starting five.

LeBron James recently claimed that having Davis join him on the Lakers would be ā€œamazingā€, and other teams have been rumored to be chasing after the premier player.

Only time can tell where Davis will end up, but in the meantime, we can continue to enjoy highlights like these.
