Markelle Fultz and the Philadelphia 76ers played the Charlotte Hornets at home Friday night, and though the Sixers lost, their fans were at least treated to this display of creativeness and court awareness by point guard Markelle Fultz.

Normally, it’s Ben Simmons who’s dropping crazy dimes and taking advantage of unique passing angles only he seems to find, but at least during that play, he found himself as the recipient of a highlight-worthy dish from the former Washington Huskies star. Talk about a connection between two former first-round draft picks.

Unfortunately for the Sixers, they lost to Charlotte to the tune of a 133-132 score. Fultz started and spent 23 minutes on the floor but only managed to post seven points on 2-for-5 shooting from the field to go with five rebounds and four assists. Joel Embiid paced Philly with a monster double-double of 42 points and 18 rebounds while also swatting away four shots in 39 minutes of action.

It remains to be seen whether Markelle Fultz will ever regain the feathery jump shot he used to have before entering the pros, though, he’s certainly doing all he can to fix his form.

So far this season, Fultz is averaging 8.9 points on an anemic 39.5 percent shooting from the floor.
