The Minnesota Timberwolves lost to the Denver Nuggets Wednesday night at home, but there was one nice highlight from Towns in the fourth quarter.

Towns posterized Nuggets big man Paul Millsap with a big-time dunk that woke up the crowd at the Target Center.

It was a thunderous dunk by Towns, but the end results weren't good for the Timberwolves, who are now 7-11 on the season and on a two-game losing streak.

In 28 minutes of action against the Nuggets, Karl-Anthony Towns finished with 22 points and seven rebounds. He was in foul trouble much of the third quarter, which was a big reason why the Timberwolves lost the game.

Minnesota is now 3-2 since the Jimmy Butler trade. Towns and the Timberwolves made a solid run in the fourth quarter to erase a double-digit deficit, but that wasn't enough, as Denver won by a final score of 103-101. Derrick Rose scored 20 points off the bench and was a big spark in the comeback. The former MVP also dished out four assists.

Towns and the Timberwolves will look to snap their two-game losing streak on Friday when they take on the Brooklyn Nets in Brooklyn. Minnesota needs to go on a winning streak if they want to climb back in the Western Conference standings.
