The Minnesota Vikings were unable to defeat the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. It was a tough game, but they played their hearts out regardless. However, it appears Minnesota was lacking energy from the fan base, as Anthony Barr and Justin Jefferson react to Mike Zimmer's pregame antics.

According to Courtney Cronin, Mike Zimmer got involved in the Vikings' pregame huddle. Anthony Barr pointed out that's not normally something his head coach does. However, it appears as though Zimmer felt he needed to provide some electricity for his team. The reason being, US Bank Stadium “felt dead.”

That's not a great look for the fan base. Considering the Vikings were the home team, you'd think Minnesota would be rocking the house. This was a massive game for this franchise, as a win would have been huge for their playoff hopes. Instead, Zimmer brought the energy for his team, as he didn't see it from the fans.

That has to be a disheartening feeling for the Vikings. The playoffs are just within reach and a win improves Minnesota's chances of making the postseason. More often than not, the fans go wild for these exact scenarios. However, Anthony Barr and Mike Zimmer noticed the exact opposite in US Bank Stadium.

With the Vikings losing to the Rams, their chances to make the playoffs drop drastically. It's an uphill climb with just two games left in the season. We'll see if Minnesota can get back in the win column in Week 17. That is likely this franchise's final shot at keeping their postseason chances alive.
