Vince Carter needs no introduction. ā€œHalf-man, half-amazingā€ has one of the most iconic dunk contest performances ever, has made 8 All-Star games, and had perhaps the most incredible dunks in sports history during the Olympics in Sydney in 2000. For all that he's done throughout his legendary career, it's been announced by Screen Media that they've acquired the rights to a new documentary film Vince Carter: Legacy.

The doc, which premiered on the Crackle Plus Networks as an original title on October 1st (free to stream), is well-deserved for Carter, and will help us to get to know more about the man who we've all seen on highlight reels and dunk mixtapes.

Deadline stated in a press release:

ā€œThis all-access documentary honors [Vince Carter] accomplishments while exploring the complex emotions of a farewell season unlike any other and the life transition that lies at its end,ā€

Sounds like quite the emotional journey. Additionally, THINK450 Head of Content Christina Norman offered her input on the vision and goals of the documentary:

ā€œOur mission is to partner with players through storytelling,ā€ she said. ā€œIt was our honor to help the longest-tenured member in our history tell his story of dedication and triumph.ā€

Added Lineage CEO Anthony Rodriguez, whose company co-EPā€™d,

ā€œmost of the world knows Vince Carter for his highlight-reel dunksā€”but as LegacyĀ reveals, the man himself and his contributions to the game encompass far more than a few iconic moments.ā€

Though known best for his time playing for the Toronto Raptors, Carter has made major impacts both on and off the court with the Nets, Suns, Hawks, and even more teams. We all love Vince Carter, and it's going to be great to all watch and discuss his life and legacy together.
