The rumor mill has been swirling about back-to-back MVP winner Giannis Antetokounmpo leaving the Milwaukee Bucks during the offseason. Sensationally, one of the teams he has been linked to is none other than the Golden State Warriors. For his part, NBA legend Allen Iverson approves of the potential move.

Iverson recently guested on the All The Smoke podcast with Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes, and this was where he expressed his incessant desire for Giannis to join the Dubs:

“That's where I want him to go — Golden State,” Iverson exclaimed, via Drew Shiller of NBC Sports.

“Yes. Yes. I would love him to go there. That's where I want him to go. I want him to go to Golden State man.”

In case you can't figure this out, Iverson really, really wants Giannis to take his talents to San Francisco.

While this may sound improbable, the Warriors will still likely make an effort to swing a big trade. They own the second overall pick in the upcoming draft, as well as a potentially valuable 2021 first-round pick from the Minnesota Timberwolves. Golden State also has big-contract players like Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins to dangle in a trade offer. Stephen Curry, obviously, isn't going anywhere.

Any potential move, however, will depend on Antetokounmpo himself. He's eligible to sign a record-breaking supermax extension with the Bucks this offseason, but until pen is put to paper, anything can still happen. If the 25-year-old opts to decline the extension, that would certainly send the entire league into a frenzy.

While the Bucks still may not trade their superstar even if he doesn't sign the extension, the Warriors would be foolish not to make a run for him. Even if they don't get him this offseason, they can always keep trying in the future.
