Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is well-known as one of the NBA's biggest trash talkers, and his comments regarding Detroit Pistons guard Rodney McGruder weren't misinterpreted.

McGruder had some confrontations with several Warriors in their game on Saturday, Jan. 30, but Green said he stands by those comments.

Warriors All-Star shooting guard Klay Thompson, sidelined this season after an Achilles tendon injury, was also on the broadcast for that game and didn't take too highly of McGruder's antics, saying that he “might be out the league soon.”

However, Green went on “The Jump” with Rachel Nichols and said, “when I say something I mean it.” Green has never been one to back down during his time in the league, and the McGruder feud with the Warriors isn't a good one for the next time these two teams play each other.

The Warriors defeated the Pistons on Saturday, 118-91, and Green finished with just four points, five boards, and six assists, but his energy and presence are always felt regardless of how many points were scored.

The shots at McGruder after the game were interesting to say the least, as Pistons teammate Wayne Ellington stood up for him and said he's “one of the most humble and down-to-earth guys in the league.”

The second half of the NBA season isn't scheduled yet, and as of now the Warriors and Pistons won't face each other again. If they do end up facing each other, we should expect nothing but fireworks from Green and McGruder, especially after what Green said in his interview with Nichols.
