The Golden State Warriors and the Phoenix Suns will face off on Monday night in Oakland and it appears as if the defending champions will be short-handed in this game.

According to the official Warriors public relations Twitter account:

Injury report for tomorrow's game vs. Phoenix: Draymond Green (sprained left index finger) is doubtful. Jordan Bell (left ankle inflammation) is out.

The injury happened in the Warriors' last game against the San Antonio Spurs, a game that they won 122-105. How long Green will miss still seems to be up in the air, but it doesn't sound like this is going to be a long-term injury, and they are just holding him out of this game as a precaution.

Green is having another stellar season this year, averaging 11.3 points, 7.9 rebounds, 7.3 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game. He is once again stamping his class as one of the best, if not the best, defenders in the league.

This year, Green has struggled with his temper though and has picked up 14 technicals already this season. Once he picks up his 16th technical of the year he will be suspended for a game. This might be a good opportunity to just watch a game, and try to let his temper simmer a little bit, although it could give him more time to yell at the referees, just this time from the bench which doesn't really save him from incurring another technical foul.

For the Suns and Warriors, this will be the first time the two teams will square off this season. The Warriors won all three games last year between the two teams, scoring at least 120 points in each of the matchups.
