Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green is clearly not happy with a couple of aspects in the new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) that the NBA and NBPA agreed upon on Friday.

For those who missed it, the NBA and NBPA made sure that a lockout would be avoided before the 2023-24 season after agreeing on the new CBA that runs until 2029. While it has yet to be reviewed by the owners and players before being made official, it is certainly a positive step in the right direction to ensure there's continuity in the league.

Among the changes in the new CBA included the new in-season tournament and its cash prize, as well as new luxury tax barriers for teams that prevent them from racking up salaries without concern for the luxury tax, thereby increasing parity in the NBA.

However, Green is particularly disappointed with the aforementioned rule changes and even went on an epic Twitter rant to make his point. The Warriors forward specifically questioned the new luxury tax barrier. In his argument, Green noted that by having the new threshold, teams who have shown the willingness to spend and compete are losing another avenue to pay players. With that, it's only the players who end up losing its benefits.

Players lose again…. Smh! Middle and Lower spectrum teams don’t spend because they don’t want to. They want to lose. So increase their spending capabilities, just to increase them. They continue to cut out the middle. And this is what we rushed into a deal for? Smdh! Never fails,” Green exclaimed.

He added in a separate tweet, “Never seen someone go to a table with the assets that makes an entire machine go, and lose EVERY time! Blasphemous.”

Draymond Green also took issue with the $500,000 reward per player for the winning team of the in-season tournament starting in 2023-24. It was rumored before that the NBA was planning to give a $1 million reward for each player of the winning squad, but now it got cut in half.

Of course Green's rant didn't stop there. He also kept replying to fans and critics as he explains his points. One user asked why he's complaining when NBA players are making millions by playing a sport, to which the Warriors vet replied, “You mean the people who generate billions to make millions? Yeah those people!”

Here are more of his tweets about the new CBA:

For what it's worth, Green said that he has more to say about the issue, but he'll be talking about it in the next episode of his podcast. With that said, it sure looks like the Warriors' vocal leader won't be stopping any time soon when it comes to airing his problems with the new CBA.
