Draymond Green has no problem about the Memphis Grizzlies talking trash. In fact, he loves it. However, the Golden State Warriors star warns Ja Morant and co. that they are due for a “reality check” in 2022-23.

Green said that the Grizzlies were being “oblivious” to the situation, which was why they were able to talk trash to their opponents. However, now that they understand how big the moment is and how they put themselves on such a high pedestal, things are only going to get tougher for them.

“Now, talking shit to the team that won a championship after they beat you after they win a championship is an entirely different level of oblivion. It doesn't get much more oblivious than that. And I think for them, you're now going to be expected to do that. You're now going to be expected to win these games. And it's not as easy when teams are coming for you,” the Warriors vet shared in the crossover of his podcast with JJ Redick, per NBC Sports.

“And so I think now, they're going to get their reality check. And it's not that they will still be able to win. They may still be able to win, but they're going to realize how much harder it is for them to win. And now because they're talking the way they're talking, they better lose that oblivion, because they better understand these moments now are huge.”

Draymond Green certainly makes a great point. It's all good to talk trash in the NBA–that's part of the game. But at the end of the day, you have to walk the talk and actually back it up with wins.

With that said, the pressure is on the Grizzlies to actually perform and deliver. The Warriors are the reigning champions, and it's up to Memphis to prove they can beat them.

Considering Ja Morant and the Grizzlies' mentality, though, they are going to embrace that challenge. It might be because they are still “oblivious” to the whole situation, but that is also what makes them dangerous.

Sure enough, the next Warriors-Grizzlies game will be fun to watch.
