Draymond Green doesn't need a lot to get fired up. The Golden State Warriors star was always been the engine that kept the team running during their NBA Finals runs.

He may be a step slower now, but the Warriors star is still the same spitfire superstar on the court in his age-31 NBA season. Draymond Green was vocal on one of his biggest motivations for the season – proving to his children that he's actually good at basketball.

Via ESPN's Nick Friedell:

“My son is getting older, my oldest daughter — she's 7 now — they kind of get on my ass if we lose,” Green said. “So that's motivation. And I think for me also, I've been s— the last couple years, so my kids don't really understand how good I am. And I want them to see how good I am so they'll have an understanding. And so that is motivation for me.”

“When I was playing at the top of my level, which I'm getting back to that now, they were like 3 and 1,” the Warriors star continued. “So that is motivating for me to play well in front of them so they have an understanding of what I do.”

Draymond for the most part is getting the job done so far this season. He may not be scoring or defending as prolifically as he once did years ago, but he's adapted into an improved version of himself compared to recent seasons. His 55.6% shooting from the field this season would be a career high by far, and his 35.3% rate from the three-point line is his best since the Warriors went 73-9 back in 2016.

Most import of all, Golden State is winning again. Draymond Green doesn't have to talk about the glory days of the Warriors to his children to prove that he was once a vital cog on a championship dynasty. He can still show them.
