He's back! Klay Thompson has officially returned for the Golden State Warriors… for team photos that is.

Nevertheless, there is certainly still reason to get excited as these were actually the official team photos for the 2021-22 season. To make things even better, the All-Star shooting guard brought back Headband Klay for the shoot (h/t Alex Espinoza of NBC Sports):

This all but confirms what we've all been looking forward to: Klay Thompson will be good to go for the Warriors to open the 2021-22 campaign. His recovery from a season-ending Achilles injury has been progressing as scheduled, so barring any unforeseen setbacks (we earnestly pray that there aren't any), Klay should be back in the starting lineup come opening night. And he's busting out the infamous headband as well.

In case you forgot, Headband Klay first made an appearance back in 2018 when Thompson sustained a cut on his head during a matchup against the Chicago Bulls. The five-time All-Star ended up setting a new record of 14 triples made during that game, which officially brought the legend of Headband Klay to life.

It looks like Thompson has every intention of bringing back that type of fire when he finally makes his much-awaited comeback on the basketball court. He's certainly going to make up for lost time, so it wouldn't be surprising if he comes firing on all cylinders right out the gate.

We're all now just counting the days before Klay Thompson finally returns. I can't wait.
