The Golden State Warriors put forth an impressive team effort in their Game 2 victory in the NBA Finals, with the likes of Klay Thompson, Quinn Cook and Andre Iguodala stepping up. However, in the eyes of former NBA player Jason Terry, it was center DeMarcus Cousins that impressed the most in the contest.

The former NBA champion and Sixth Man of the Year was particularly impressed with Cousins' resiliency and his ability to have such a great game after coming back from a serious injury not so long ago — and on the biggest stage of his career.

“Being out for as long as he has with injury, being able to put up almost a triple-double… he was so effective,” Terry explained. “Not only that but his presence on the defensive end, he had active hands, he bothered Marc Gasol as well.”

In the second Finals game of his life, Cousins had 11 points on 3-of-8 shooting, as well as 10 rebounds, six assists and two blocks. He even got the start after coming off the bench for Golden State in Game 1.

The Warriors are hoping that Cousins can regain the form he had before his injury. Right now, both Thompson and Kevin Durant are questionable for Game 3 of the series while backup big man Kevon Looney is out indefinitely. A healthy Cousins gives the Dubs yet another All-Star to utilize in order to capture their fourth championship.
