After exploding for 30 points in his playoffs debut in Game 1, Jordan Poole kept it going on Monday night as he helped the Golden State Warriors to a 126-106 Game 2 win over the Denver Nuggets. Poole scored another 29 points in just his second playoff appearance en route to joining the great Wilt Chamberlain in Warriors franchise history.

After dropping a mind-blowing 59 points in his first two playoff games, Poole now only trails the Hall of Fame big man in the history books (h/t StatMuse on Twitter):

Chamberlain, who many consider as one of, if not the most prolific scorer in NBA history, scored a total of 63 points in his first two postseason appearances for the Warriors. Poole was just five points short of breaking that record. He actually came close too, and he probably would have smashed the record if this weren't a blowout.

Even though he did not surpass Wilt, the mere fact that Poole is being mentioned in the same breath as one of the GOATs is an undeniably huge honor. Not even Stephen Curry reached these heights during his first postseason run. This just speaks volumes of how outstanding Poole has been to start the playoffs for the Dubs.
