LaVar Ball has gotten a lot of heat from the media and people around the NBA about the way he conducts himself and handles business.

Most have given him a bad review but there is one guy who likes his outspoken ways, Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant. He recently appeared on The Bill Simmons Podcast to talk about it.

“No…You know why I love LaVar? Because he reminds me of a normal AAU dad…I've seen dads like him. I grew up watching dad's like LaVar and I'm like “I appreciate what you are doing because I wish..me and my dad are so tight now but growing up he didn't come to many games, so I wish I had a dad like that. A lot of people wish they had dads like LaVar. Maybe not going on ESPN or putting the pressure on him like he did Lonzo, but it's just LaVar is the prototypical pops on the AAU circuit.”

That seems to be the common theme with players that like him. He might be loud and out there but in the end, he is just trying to see his sons have success.

For Kevin Durant, he didn't have a ton of time to have success in Thursday night's game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

He was ejected right before halftime after arguing with a ref about what he felt was a missed call. That gives him a career-high five ejections.

Not sure if it's Durant trying to be that alpha-dog of the Warriors or if it's just poor reffing, something a lot of players have complained about, but he has seemed to chirp at the refs more than ever this year.
