Dirk Nowitzki and Kevin Durant's playing styles might be completely different. But one unstoppable skill that both possess is deadly jump shots standing at 7 feet tall. That is an ability that has made both of these players great. Durant loves playing against Dirk. Per Bay Area News Group's Mark Medina, Durant said:

“It’s always good to play him, especially now that he’s coming to the last games of his career. Playing against him at a very special time, I got a lot of memories against him.”

“He got a skill that never ages. That’s a jump shot. His body may age and his mind may get a little jogged. But that jump shot will always be there.”

Nowitzki's shot today is still amazing. In fact, Dirk is shooting 41.9 percent from 3-point land this season, well above his career average. He also shoots 88.5 percent from the free throw line and has an effective field goal percentage of 55.0 percent, a career high. Durant cannot help but marvel at what Nowitzki does at his age.

“Guys can shoot and be in the league for that long and be effective. To be a starter in the league and the whole offense is centered around you and opposing teams are still trying to figure out to stop this, you can tell you’re a great and legend.”

Nowitzki is, in fact, a legend. He is the only big man in the elite 50-40-90 club, a regular season MVP, an NBA champion and Finals MVP, and the sixth leading all-time scorer. Durant himself aspires to become as legendary as Nowitzki is. He is well on his way, as he is already a 50-40-90 club member, MVP, NBA champion, and Finals MVP. Only time will tell if Durant will be able to keep his shooting intact in the latter stages in his career just like Dirk has.
