Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry have been teammates with the Golden State Warriors for over a decade now. Their relationship on and off the court has been integral to the success of their team, and right now, both players are looking to lead the Dubs to their fourth title in the past eight years.

As it turns out, Thompson and Curry weren't exactly BFFs from the get-go. According to Klay, it was well into his tenure with the Warriors when he became close with Steph. It even took a summer trip to Europe to fortify their bond:

“We really didn't get to know each other until about our third year in the league,” Thompson said, via NBA on ESPN on Twitter. “Both very quiet. And I think this trip with USA Basketball to Spain, we played a lot of golf, we drank some sangria in Barcelona. I think he'll say the same, but that summer of 2014 kind of glued us together and we just became good friends after that.

“There's a lot of things we do on the court that just seems to be in sync with each other. We don't even think about it, it's just like second nature.”

It's no coincidence that the Warriors won their first title that same year. After Thompson and Curry's trip to Spain in the summer of 2014, Golden State went on to win their first of three championships during the 2014-15 season. There's no denying that it was their chemistry off the court led to some amazing things on the hardwood.
