How tough is Golden State Warriors All-Star shooting guard Klay Thompson?

According to his father, Mychal, Klay once pitched on a broken foot at 12-years-old during Little League baseball without telling anyone.

So, if anyone thinks Klay is going to miss Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday, you're probably going to be proved wrong.

“The most prominent memory I have of his toughness was in Little League when he was our number one pitcher,” Klay’s father Mychal Thompson told Ethan Strauss of The Athletic. “He broke his foot on the playground at school, jumping off of a rock. Cracked the bone. He didn’t tell anybody. Didn’t tell me or his mom and continued to play and pitch on his broken foot til it started turning colors and swelling up.

“He played through that pain and he didn’t tell anybody. That was an early sign of his toughness. He went out in pain and didn’t tell anybody because he wanted to play. He wouldn’t complain about it, and put up with the pain because he wanted to play with his friends in Little League.”

Klay has never missed a playoff game for the Warriors. It's hard to envision the sharpshooter sitting out a Finals game with the series tied at 1-1.

To keep home-court advantage in the series, the Warriors have to win both Games 3 and 4.
