Glen Davis and Rodney McGruder know that Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson remains on the sideline due to a significant injury that has hampered the sharpshooting veteran for the last few seasons.

However, Thompson recently returned to the fold in terms of the NBA landscape as the Warriors standout — alongside Golden State power forward Draymond Green — refused to hold back when speaking about other players from around the league.

With Thompson joining a Warriors broadcast to do a little commentary during his time away from the floor, it was Detroit Pistons guard Rodney McGruder that sent things sideways for this ongoing dialogue.

After the tandem of Thompson and Green absolutely roasted McGruder after the Warriors and Pistons clashed last week, the former has now apparently turned his attention to former NBA big man Glen “Big Baby” Davis.

Unfortunately for Thompson, though, this feud will have to settle itself outside the confines of the NBA. Davis hasn't played at the highest level since 2015. Warriors fans might know that Davis, a former member of the Boston Celtics, Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Clippers during his NBA tenure, has had to scratch and claw to remain a pro hooper. “Big Baby” is currently out of the Association but has since made appearances with the Big 3 league to continue his professional playing career.

Knowing Glen Davis from his time on the court in the NBA, this is probably not the end of this spat with Klay Thompson of the Warriors. A response is no doubt coming from “Big Baby.” The 2008 NBA champion has never been one to back down from a feud as this one could get very interesting in the coming days.

In the midst of a pandemic season, NBA basketball has often been disjointed, with a lot of blowouts in the first month and a half of the season and some unexpected developments in the league standings. Social media flamethrowing with players from the Warriors and elsewhere feels like the normalcy we need.
