Orlando Magic head coach Steve Clifford understands why the Golden State Warriors are struggling, saying that no other team “can't have worse luck” than Steve Kerr and Co.

After five years of dominance that saw them win three titles, the Warriors are now the worst team in the league with a 4-16 record. While there were expectations that they could still compete this year despite the long-term injury to Klay Thompson and the departure of Kevin Durant, those hopes quickly dissipated after Stephen Curry suffered a fractured hand.

It didn't help that Draymond Green and newcomer D'Angelo Russell also missed time early in the season due to injuries.

Clifford, whose Magic squad will meet the depleted Dubs on Sunday, said that nothing can be compared to what the Dubs are experiencing right now.

“You can’t have worse luck than they’ve had,” Clifford said of the Warriors, per Roy Parry of Orlando Sentinel. “In a league where health is always difficult, what everybody else is going through is nothing compared to what they’re dealing with.”

The Magic are also dealing with an injury to their key player, as Nikola Vucevic is still out nursing an ankle sprain. Meanwhile, Aaron Gordon just recently returned to the Orlando lineup after missing three games due to an ankle injury.

Kerr and the Warriors are fighting hard despite the lack of healthy players, but their fans can't really blame them for losing — particularly in the ultra-tough Western Conference.

For now, Dub Nation can only hope that their current active players remain healthy and that their star players return sooner rather than later.
