The Golden State Warriors have agreed to a two-way contract with point guard Quinn Cook, according to a report by Shams Charania of The Vertical. The Warriors' roster, which already has 15 guaranteed contracts, will be filled at 17, joining Oregon's Chris Boucher as the other two-way player. With this two-way provision, he will be allowed to earn NBA royalties when called up, for a maximum of 45 days per season.
Cook went undrafted out of Duke University in 2015 and signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers prior to the 2015-16 season, only to be consequently waived and play for the team's G-League affiliate; the Canton Charge.
The 6-foot-2 guard led the league in scoring and became a G-League All-Star MVP, which earned him a short stint with the New Orleans Pelicans, who waived him after three games.
During the 2016-17 season, Quinn Cook earned stints with the Dallas Mavericks and the Pelicans once again, who this time signed him to two 10-day contracts and consequently for the rest of the season.
Cook averaged 26 points and 6.7 assists per game in his last season with the Charge, while shooting a blistering 90 percent from the line and can now easily become the star of the Santa Cruz Warriors coming into this 2017-18 season.
