There are so many players on the Golden State Warriors that will require a lot of attention throughout their NBA Finals series against the Boston Celtics. One player that could be operating under the radar a bit is Andrew Wiggins. For Hall of Fame big man Shaquille O'Neal, however, he knows how important the All-Star forward is going to be for the Dubs in this series.

Ahead of Thursday's Game 1 tip-off, Shaq talked up Wiggins' role for the Warriors in the Finals, particularly as the main defender for the Celtics' top gun in Jayson Tatum. At the same time, O'Neal also revealed Wiggins' significance on the offensive end:

“He's going to be very important,” Shaq said, via NBA TV on Twitter. “Not only will he have to defend possibly the best player, they also need him to score. Whn you're on a great team and you got to focus on a lot of other players, there would be a lot of opportunities. We don't need you to hit all the shots, but we need you to hit timely shots and important shots. Andrew Wiggins has been playing fabulous, I've never seen him play like this at all. I think this is the best team, the best fit for him.”

Shaq also revealed that he spoke with Wiggins about his teammates encouraging him to take his shots. According to Wiggins, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are constantly getting on him to take shots and they never blame him for taking bad attempts. Shaq said that this is exactly what he used to do for his teammates during his heyday. O'Neal has found some success in the NBA during his decorated career and he definitely knows what he's talking about here.
