For four straight years, NBA fans got to see the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers matchup in the Finals. While the Warriors are still contenders to win their fourth championship in five years, the Cavaliers have been replaced with the Toronto Raptors as the champion of the Eastern Conference. Warriors guard Shaun Livingston admitted that seeing a new opponent spiced up the Finals a bit for him:

Livingston has been with the team since the first Finals appearance in 2015, so it'd make sense that the veteran got a little sick of playing Cleveland every time in the last series.

Honestly, for everyone that is not a Cavaliers fan the change is intriguing and much-welcomed. It certainly helps the NBA from a business point of view to have a new contender after four years of no change. Now, new viewers can tune in to see someone else try to knock off the dynasty.

It's also interesting to have a team outside the United States contend for a major championship. Toronto has never made the Finals prior to this year, and their enthusiastic, loyal fans deserve to get to see their team have a shot at winning it all.

However, Livingston shouldn't be too happy about facing Toronto. While it is a change of pace, Kawhi Leonard and the Raptors should give the Warriors a real run for their money as they attempt to finally bring the coveted Larry O'Brien trophy up north.
