Stephen Curry has forged another 3-point record to his name. In Game 2 of the NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors guard edged Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James for the second most 3-pointers in the history of the playoffs.

Curry's tally is now up to 370 3-pointers, surpassing James' 369.

The all-time leader in 3-pointers made in the playoffs is Ray Allen with 385.

With the way he's playing, Curry is on pace to be the all-time leader in 3-point field goals made in the playoffs. Currently, he's averaging 3.9 threes per game on 10 attempts. If he maintains his average and if the series goes to seven games, he'll definitely be crowned the all-time leader.

If not, Curry has another shot at it next year. The Warriors, after all, are turning out to be one of the best teams ever assembled in the history of the NBA. For the past four years, they have been the top favorites to win it all.  Now, they are up 2-0 against the Cavaliers — closer to their goal of winning their third championship in four years. And Curry's 3-point precision has been one of the most important factors in the Warriors' dynasty.

Per The San Francisco Chronicle‘s Connor Letourneau, the Warriors' development coach Bruce Fraser spoke about his shooting drills with the marksman before:

“I would say for him, that’s a really good number. I’m not saying that’s his best. Ninety-six is his best ever. But 94 basically shows you that he’s in a good rhythm. He’s shooting well. You can’t say, ‘Oh, he should be back because he shot a 94.’ You can’t say that. He has to go up and down. There’s stamina involved.”
