The Golden State Warriors aren't done making changes in the crew. Now, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson will get even more help for the upcoming season with the latest addition to the squad.

The Warriors front office isn't just focusing on the players' roster but on the coaching staff as well. Following the recent changes to Steve Kerr's deputies, another new tactician is set to join the Warriors as an assistant coach. Former Santa Cruz Warriors coach Kris Weems will be a key addition as he focuses on player development. He's expected to handle the guards like Curry, Thompson, Jordan Poole and Gary Payton II.

Weems, a former All-Pac 12 guard at Stanford, is thrilled for the new chapter in his career and is ready to help the Warriors get back into the NBA Playoffs (via Heavy).

“I get to be around the pillars of the organization, like Steph (Curry), Draymond (Green), Klay (Thompson), Kevon Looney, and Andre Igoudala, with a chance to do something special this year. I’m looking forward to building deeper connections with the staff and players as this place as always felt like home.”

Weems is the latest addition to the Warriors' brain trust. After Jarron Collins left last June, the team hired Jama Mahlalela and Dejan Milojevic to assist in player development of the young guys, particularly James Wiseman. Last August, the Warriors added former Brooklyn Nets coach Kenny Atkinson to be one of Kerr's lead assistants.

The Warriors are pulling out all the stops to get back into contention and it should only bode well for Curry, Thompson, and the rest of the squad.
