Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is undoubtedly one of the happiest players in the NBA when the All-Defensive teams were announced. After all, his teammate and longtime friend Draymond Green made it to the first team.

In fact, Curry showed how ecstatic he is with an Instagram post dedicated to Green. Aside from congratulating his Warriors running mate, he also reminded everyone how a lot of people have doubted the 31-year-old forward and his contributions to the Dubs.

“My Dawg! Congrats @money23green [Draymond Green]. Had to remind the folks what you are all about. 1st team,” Curry wrote on his caption alongside a graphic art of Green for the All-Defensive First Team.

While it did not come as a big surprise that Draymond Green was named to the First Team after he was selected as one of the Finalists for the DPOY award, there is no doubt that making it this year is extra special and sends a strong message regarding his status in the league. To recall, the Warriors small-ball center missed on the selection in 2020 after a rather weird and injury-riddled campaign for the Warriors.

Now, as Stephen Curry highlighted, Green has proven that he is still the elite defensive maestro that has been a staple in the All-Defense teams over the past few years.

Sure enough, Warriors fans are hoping Dray can maintain the same defensive intensity and production in 2021-22 as they try to get back to the promised land with a healthy Curry and Klay Thompson.
