Everything was in throwback mode for the Golden State Warriors in their series-clinching Game 6 victory over the Houston Rockets. The two-time defending champions dug deep into the 2015 Warriors era as they had to compete without superstar forward Kevin Durant. Stephen Curry decided to join in the whole throwback theme by wearing his old Curry 1's to Game 6.

The former 2-time MVP said after that he decided to bring the ol' reliable “out of the garage” to bring back vintage Curry.

If anything, the Curry that we saw in the first of was more of the struggling shooter we've been seeing throughout this series. Curry laid a goose egg in the first half, going scoreless in the first 24 minutes of action on 0-of-5 shooting.

But Curry chose to grind it out with those Curry 1's despite his forgettable first half. He channeled the MVP self that he became back in 2015 and 2016 int he second half. He turned a scoreless first half into a 33-point masterpiece to power Golden State into the Western Conference Finals.

Curry scored 23 of those in a scintillating fourth quarter. He buried dagger after dagger down the stretch, including two massive three-pointers, to finally put the Rockets out of their misery in these 2019 playoffs.

Curry's fellow Splash Brother Klay Thompson also dug deep into his 2015 and 2016 self as he kept the Warriors afloat through Curry's disaster first half. Thompson scored 21 points in the first half and ended with 27 points and seven 3-pointers – including an absolute dagger with over minute remaining to put the Warriors up by 6.
