The Golden State Warriors have recently green-lighted Stephen Curry for Game 2 action against the New Orleans Pelicans.

While holding a 1-0 lead certainly puts a lot less pressure on his return, his personal trainer; Brandon Payne, noted he's looking for two things in him upon taking the floor tonight.

“The two things that he needs to be on the floor when he gets out there — confident and comfortable,” Payne said, according to Drew Shiller of NBC Sports Bay Area. “Those are the two things we're looking for. If he's got those two things, then he's gonna be perfectly fine.”

Payne also didn't seem too worried about Curry getting back in shape, saying he will quickly re-incorporate into true form as the series goes on.

“Then it just becomes a little bit of conditioning,” added Payne. “He's the type of guy, it does not take very long for him to get back in shape.”

Payne's main concern is how his body reacts the next day after the physical toll of a full NBA game, as there could be some soreness, that if unaddressed, could cause a setback if not caught in time.

Curry has been out for nearly six weeks now and has not played since Mar. 23, an absence that was felt by the team, now glad to have him back in time to hit the postseason in stride.

Through 51 games this season, Curry led the team with an average of 26.4 points per game and led the NBA in free-throw percentage with a 92.1 percent clip. His 49.5 percent efficiency from the field and 43.2 percent from deep has made this Warriors team into a lethal offense, boasting 120.4 points per 100 possessions — the best mark in the league's last 20 seasons.
