Steve Kerr has been at the center of the success enjoyed by the Golden State Warriors over the past three seasons.

He came in after Mark Jackson was fired and Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and others were already on the team. In his first season with the Warriors, the team won an NBA title, and it secured another one last season after losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the finals the year before.

Essentially, Kerr has proven to be one of the best coaches in the NBA over the past three seasons. On Saturday against the San Antonio Spurs, Kerr further cemented himself in NBA history by being the fastest coach in history to reach 250 wins, per the NBA's official Twitter account.

Forward Draymond Green gave his thoughts on how his head coach was able to accomplish such a great feat, per Mark Medina of the Mercury News.

Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich also chimed in with his sarcastic two cents on his friend Kerr reaching the milestone, per Medina.

Kerr has definitely had the fortune of having great players to coach in his young career at the helm. It reminds one of Phil Jackson, who has won the most championships in NBA history, largely because he had the fortune of coaching some of the greatest players to ever play the game. Still, what coach patrols his team to multiple championships without the services of great players?

But like Jackson, Kerr also has the unique gift of relating to his players in a unique way and getting them to buy into what he is preaching on a daily basis. He is keeping the Warriors accountable and the players love playing for him.

Those intangibles matter when it comes to coaching, and it's because of those things that the Warriors have been winning at a high level for years now.
