Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr shared his thoughts on the physical condition of DeMarcus Cousins after his first three games.
Kerr seems impressed by what he's seeing from the big man. Based on his observation, Cousins' conditioning is improving each game.
“He just looks like he's in better condition each game. Even when I took him out, he didn’t look tired. It’s been a really good progression for him,” he Kerr said per Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

Steve Kerr added that they're still figuring out how to fully integrate Cousins into their offense. The 6-foot-11 behemoth possesses the ability of the modern-day NBA center — someone who can expertly handle and shoot the ball like a guard and at the same time, rough it up with fellow big men in the paint. Kerr cited several instances where Cousins easily sealed off his defender under the basket and got an easy score.
Through his first three games, DeMarcus Cousins' playing time has increased. It's gone up from 15 to 21 and 24 on Thursday night.
In the third game, a 126-118 win over the Washington Wizards, Cousins had 17 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field and 1-of-1 from downtown. He also had six rebounds, three assists, and one block. And as the season progresses, the rest of the NBA should concoct their respective strategies on how to stop the Warriors big man. It's going to be one big problem once he's fully integrated into Kerr's sophisticated offense.
