San Francisco, CA – The start of the season was an up and down roller coaster for Golden State Warriors guard Jordan Poole. After shooting at extraordinary heights in the preseason, the third-year guard hit his first cold streak. In the regular season, Poole's shooting from deep has been a struggle. But the last two games, he's shot the ball like Stephen Curry.

Poole against the Detroit Pistons was 4-of-8 and 8-of-11 from three-point land Sunday against the Toronto Raptors.

“In the last few games, he's gotten much better in terms of his shot selection…Out of his 11 threes, I don't remember one that wasn't open and balanced,” Kerr told ClutchPoints.

In the last two games for the Warriors, Poole is posting averages of 32.5 points on 65% shooting, and from deep, he's shooting 63%. It's not about the impressive percentages, but it's the way he has scored the ball. Poole is mixing up with acrobatic takes to the basket and knocking down jump shots.

Stephen Curry sat out the Detroit game to give his lingering hip injury time to heal. Then against Toronto, the Raptors' plan was clearly to take the ball out of Curry's hands. He shot just 2-of-10 in that game.

If it wasn't for the Steph Curry-like performance from Poole, the Dubs could have easily lost the past two games. But this isn't a surprise to the Warriors. It's what they expected from him in his role this season. It's not his job to lead the team in scoring, even though some nights he can carry the team to victory, and that's just what he did.
