Since being signed by the Golden State Warriors last season, JaVale McGee has emerged as a key rotation player for them, who has provided the team with quality minutes off the bench night in and night out. However, he has only played a total of seven minutes in their past three games, including a DNP-CD on Monday versus the Cleveland Cavaliers.

While many are wondering why McGee not been receiving his usual amount of playing time, it has been reported that he is now on the trade block, and that the Warriors are discussing a potential deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, according to Marcus Thompson II of The Athletic.

He also stated that the JaVale McGee is unhappy with his minutes and that he still believes he deserves more than just the veteran's minimum deal from the Warriors.

“McGee hasn’t been happy with his minutes. This is on top of not being happy the Warriors only offered him a minimum contract back in the offseason and told him the starting role wasn’t on the table. McGee isn’t causing problems at all, but it only makes sense to consider moving him if another team is interested. McGee has value, but it is generally the same as what Bell provides.”

McGee has been playing well since joining the defending champions. His ability to protect the rim, as well as finish strong near the basket has come in handy for the Warriors. He has also enjoyed a resurgence in his career, after bouncing around the league the previous three seasons.

Should he land with the Bucks, JaVale McGee will give the young team a legitimate big man who can hold his own in the paint, and help in defense and rebounding. He also fits the mold of a number of their players who are long and athletic which will strengthen their reputation as a dark horse in the Eastern Conference.
