Only some NBA players are lucky enough to make the NBA Finals let alone win the championship. What's more, that list gets even smaller for players who can do it in year one. But there is one player who was put on this earth to win, and his name is Patrick McCaw.

McCaw's not a household name to most NBA fans. He was a former 2nd round pick who played sparingly in his first three seasons in the NBA. He started playing for the Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors. But in that span, he was able to accomplish something not even LeBron James or Stephen Curry have ever done, and probably never will. If you've been following the NBA recently, you'll notice that whichever team McCaw plays for, they end the season holding the Larry O'Brien trophy.

When he was a rookie in 2016, the Warriors won against the Cleveland Cavaliers to give Patrick McCaw his first NBA title. The same thing happened again in year two. Then came year three, this time it's a little bit different, McCaw's now a restricted free agent. Since he was more along the lines of a 10th to 12th man, this meant the best offer he'd receive from any NBA team would be a mid-level exception (MLE) deal.

However, it wasn't even close to it. The best a team would give him that offseason was a 2-year $5.2 million offer, which McCaw rejected. The Cavaliers did sign him in late December to a non-guaranteed $6 million deal but was waived six days later. McCaw eventually found a home in Toronto where he was signed for the rest of the season.

Forget about the injuries to Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant in the Finals or Kawhi Leonard having the greatest playoff run in Raptors history, the biggest reason the Raptors won the finals in 2019 was because of their good luck charm (Patrick McCaw). Unfortunately, that turned out to be the last full season McCaw was in an NBA uniform, but that doesn't mean he's stopped winning.

He chose to hone his skills in the G League and landed with the Delaware Blue Coats in 2022. In his first two years, he's helped them reach the Finals and win a G League title. Not too many people will remember Patrick McCaw's NBA career. Nevertheless, he is part of the rare group of players to ever 3-peat. Looking at how successful he's been in the G League, it wouldn't be surprising to see him win three straight titles there too.
