Nick Young might be losing his “swag,” fortunately the Golden State Warriors are there to push and return him to his normal self.

The Warriors signed Young this summer to bolster their bench scoring, something that proved to be one of the team's flaws last year. According to Monte Poole of CSN Bay Area, however, the 32-year-old guard hasn't been shooting the ball at the rate the Dubs expected after two days of practice.

This situation led Young's teammates as well as head coach Steve Kerr to chime in and motivate the former Los Angeles Lakers sniper to shoot more.

“I’ve been saying the same thing to Nick — shoot it, shoot it, shoot it,” Kerr told Poole. “The whole thing for any of our new guys to understand is we want the first good shot we can find. If we don’t have a good shot, try to get a great shot.

“Let’s keep the ball moving, but be aggressive and find that balance. I don’t want Nick out there thinking. He’s one of the best shooters in the league and he should let it fly every time he’s open.”

Golden State is already gearing up to defend their title, and they'll definitely need Young's scoring off the bench to help them win back-to-back NBA championships. He averaged 13.2 points per game while shooting 40.4 percent from three with the Purple and Gold last season.

Nick Young explained he's still adapting to the Warriors' system and culture, so there's really no reason to worry now. Not to mention that it's unlikely he won't start chucking up threes sooner or later given his irrational confidence.

Nonetheless, it's still a good thing the Warriors are keeping an eye on Young while emphasizing the role he needs to fulfill. Though, it might help if they start calling him “Swaggy P” again.
