Video: Klay Thompson puts up shots at Warriors practice
Golden State Warriors All-Star shooting guard Klay Thompson put some shots up at practice on Tuesday as he continues to recover from torn left ACL.
Thompson tore his left ACL in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals. The Warriors star is expected to be out until at least January or February, although some believe Thompson could sit out the entire season since the Dubs are on their way to missing the playoffs for the first time in the Steve Kerr era.
Whatever the case, he’s making progress in his rehab:

The Warriors are going to be cautious with Thompson since they gave him a five-year max contract this past summer worth $190 million. Klay’s long-term health is very important to the organization.
Last season, Thompson averaged 21.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists for the Warriors. The five-time All-Star shot 46.7 percent from the field, 40.2 percent from beyond the arc and 81.6 percent from the free-throw line.
In the 2019 playoffs, Thompson put up 20.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. The Warriors lost to the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals in six games.
Golden State acquired All-Star point guard D’Angelo Russell in a sign-and-trade deal with the Brooklyn Nets after Kevin Durant agreed to sign with Brooklyn. Russell and Stephen Curry, however, have both dealt with injuries this season. Curry, of course, is out with a broken hand.
The Warriors are 5-20 on the season. They have the second-worst record in the NBA.
