The Golden State Warriors entered Game 2 of the NBA Finals with a chance to grab a commanding 2-0 series lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers, star point guard Stephen Curry has stepped up his play behind his impressive shooting.
Curry put that on display in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game drilling a ridiculous fadeaway 3-pointer with the shot clock expiring over a solid contest by All-Star forward Kevin Love.
Article Continues BelowThis was a just a microcosm of the type of incredible shooter that Curry has been throughout his career as he has the ability to practically hit a 3-pointer from anywhere regardless of the distance. In this instance, he had lost control of the ball near the end of the shot clock and was still able to get a 3-pointer up over Love's outstretched arm from well behind the arc.
This was also a small example of the massive impact that Curry has on his shot that seemingly continued to keep the Cavaliers at bay without them truly making a run to erase their lead. The 30-year-old has been the head of the snake offensively for the Warriors throughout their dominant run over the last four years in the playoffs, which makes nearly unstoppable on offense any time that he steps up with a big performance.
If Curry continues to keep up his impressive shooting from beyond the arc throughout the NBA Finals, it could quickly become a short series against the Cavaliers.
