Stephen Curry has made his return to the links in a racing helmet, even during the Golden State Warriors trip to Shenzhen, China for a couple of preseason games against the Minnesota Timberwolves in Oct. 5 and 8.

The Warriors point guard, turned part-time avid golf player tried a new twist to his driving skills, attempting to hit the ball of a tee using three-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton's helmet during his visit to Mission Hills Golf Club.

Predictably, Curry's vision wasn't the same when approaching the tee shot, missing badly and slicing the shot to the right in his effort to hit it cleanly.

While Curry has had plenty of adventures during his offseason visits to China, this one might qualify as a gnarly one, attempting a precision sport with a completely different visual approach.

Hamilton needs the helmet for his sport and could likely have a bit of better luck hitting the ball of a tee, which can prove a lot harder than doing it with half a mouthguard hanging off his mouth, as Curry often does when he takes the hardwood.

Both Warriors game against the Timberwolves will be televised through NBATV, and they will remain in China for another week before returning to the States for a matchup against the Sacramento Kings on Oct. 13 before the regular season commences.
