Chicago White Sox reliever Ryan Tepera accused the Houston Astros of sign-stealing once again in the first two games of the ALDS at Minute Maid Park. Well, manager Tony La Russa has the perfect solution to it. Make the runner on second base turn his back to center field while the catcher gives the sign. Yes, you heard that right. I mean, it’s not totally an awful idea. The umpire could tell the runner when he could turn around and face home plate again. The White Sox meanwhile rolled to a convincing 12-6 victory in Game 3 to cut the series to a 2-1 deficit. Houston came out swinging it and took a 5-1 lead early, but Chicago stormed back and was absolutely raking. “Cane Guy” went viral after he put a hex on the Astros and completely silenced their bats.

Dusty Baker clapped back at Tepera’s allegations as well, making it clear that the White Sox play a lot better at home. Nonetheless, Chicago was the real winners on Sunday and like most of the Majors, haven’t forgotten what the Astros did a few years back with the sign-stealing. Perhaps the MLB should actually consider La Russa’s suggestion? It would certainly get rid of the problem.

Game 4 of the White Sox and Astros was scheduled for Monday, but it was postponed until Tuesday due to rain.
