The Green Bay Packers have gotten off to a 3-0 start, and while it has mostly been spearheaded by their defense, their offense appears to be coming along, as they just scored 27 points in an 11-point win over the Denver Broncos.

Now, the Packers will get set to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in their Week 4 matchup on Thursday, which could represent the game where Green Bay's offense truly busts out.

Enter Matt LaFleur and Aaron Rodgers, a coach-quarterback marriage that has been shaky from the beginning but has been able to brave the elements thus far.

Of course, winning cures all, so the fact that the Packers' offense has not been the revolutionary unit that some thought it would be when LaFleur took over has kind of been swept under the rug.

But there is only so long Green Bay can get by with a lackluster offense, and LaFleur and Rodgers have to know this.

Fortunately, the Eagles could be just the medicine that the Packers need to get right.

Philadelphia ranks 16th in the NFL in yards allowed and 24th in scoring defense, so their defense is not exactly in tip-top shape. On top of that, the Eagles are missing two of their defensive linemen in Malik Jackson (who is on injured reserve) and Tim Jernigan, plus cornerback Ronald Darby.

So, yeah. Rodgers could end up having a field day against the Eagles, particularly at home.

The Packers have shown incremental improvements on offense since Week 1, going from 10 points to 21 points to 27, so the next step could very well be a 30-point breakout performance.

Defense was a major concern for Philly coming into this season after a down year in 2018, and that remains the case through three weeks, as it's obvious that the Eagles' defense is a problem.

But that is music to the ears of Rodgers and the Packers, who have yet to really get their aerial attack off the ground.

Typically a stat machine, Rodgers has yet to even throw for 250 yards in any single game this season, topping out at 235 this past Sunday. But with the shaky and banged up Eagles coming into town, Rodgers could be on the verge of 300 yards, if not more.

Expect a big performance from Rodgers on Thursday, and expect LaFleur to finally get some love.
