Kim Kardashian wowed the crowd at the Met Gala last night with her tiny waist and now infamous grey cardigan. Kim shared with Vogue that there was a storyline that the SKIMS founder wanted to embody in her look last night. Kim's narrative explained that her look was inspired by a casual night with a partner and having to get up from the garden in the morning abruptly.
“Running out, my dress is falling off because it was one of those nights, and I just grab my boyfriend's sweater to, like, run off to make it to where I have to be,” she explains to the publication about the narrative behind the dress. “It's like, really, the real-life me when I go to an event and I have to make it home by 6 a.m. to get to carpool. Like, real life happens and you're just, sometimes I'm in my makeup from the night before and it is what it is.”
The reality star worked with designer John Galliano as they envisioned “having the best night of your life with the most magical person.”
Kim said that it was not an overnight collaboration as it was years she and Galliano worked together to achieve this look.
“To put it lightly, that is about four or five years of me stalking [Galliano] to see if he would ever design a look for me for the Met,” she admits. “It finally just connected.”
Besides Kim, her sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner also walked the carpet as well as their mother Kris Jenner.

While Kim's storyline for the Met Gala included a lover, she and her former boyfriend Odell Beckham Jr. called it quits after a couple months of dating recently. A source told PEOPLE that it “just fizzled out.”
Prior to the breakup, Odell allegedly was looking to sign with the Los Angeles Rams (who he used to play for in 2021) to be closer to Kim, a source told the Daily Mail previously.
“Odell is a free agent and is looking to sign with a team that will get him closer to LA to be closer to Kim. He loved his time with Baltimore and may sign with them again, but he has many more options, and he is now going to use his personal life as a means of supporting his professional life,” a source told the Daily Mail at the time.
“Kim and Odell are firing on all cylinders, and it is very simple right now between them because she can still do her thing, be a mom, and he can do his thing,” the insider added.
Prior to Kim's relationship with Odell, she was linked to Pete Davidson and was married to Kanye West. She and the rapper have four children together: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. West and Kim were married for eight years before they filed for divorce in 2022.
Odell has never been married but he dated Lauryn Wood for two years. He and the model share their son Zydn who they welcomed in 2022.
