On Oct. 22, the New England Patriots made a pretty stunning move. After beating the New York Jets by a final score of 33-0, they made a trade. Not a small one either.

The Patriots sent a second-round pick to the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for wide receiver Mohamed Sanu.

Now Sanu is set to make his debut for the team in Week 8, against the Cleveland Browns. He's set up for a major performance in that game, and here is why.

New England has had a lot of receivers make their mark on the season in 2019. Josh Gordon, Julian Edelman, Philip Dorsett and of course Antonio Brown just to name a few. With all those names (and N'Keal Harry returning soon), you'd be forgiven for thinking a midseason acquisition is going to play a smaller role on a 7-0 team.

Sanu isn't any random receiver though. He's coming off his two best seasons in the NFL and already has 33 receptions for 313 yards and one touchdown this year.

Oh, and he's going from a 1-6 team with Julio Jones being the primary target to a 7-0 team with Edelman as the top man. This isn't a slight on Edelman, but he's not exactly Jones. He won't overshadow Sanu nearly as much.

There's also the Tom Brady factor. Again, this is in no way a slight on Matt Ryan. Sanu seems like the type of receiver that Brady (and head coach Bill Belichick) will get the absolute most out of though.

Then there is the opponent. The Browns were supposed to be one of the best teams in the NFL this year. Instead, Cleveland finds themselves holding on to a 2-4 record at the moment.

To be fair, they've been one of the best teams against the pass all year long. They are currently sixth in the NFL with 216.1 passing yards allowed. However, going up against Brady and company is a totally different animal.

Sanu will now find himself as a beneficiary of a balanced attack. New England's ability to spread the ball around means anyone can have a big game at any time.

The defense will put the absolute clamps on Cleveland. Yes, the Browns have a scary offense on paper, but this New England defense has yet to flinch. As we've seen Cleveland has crumbled at times this year.

If they come out of the gate slow in Week 8, it could become disastrous. New England isn't one to take their foot off the gas, and that gives Sanu time to put up his numbers.

Sanu is destined for a big showing in his first game on New England's roster simply because he fits so well in a roster that gets the most out of their players.

And seriously, you wouldn't want to bet against him no matter the opponent. It's hard to think of a player that came to New England and didn't produce at all (even Brown had a big one game with the Patriots this year).
