On Best Friends Day, June 8, Ryan Reynolds posted the newest teaser for the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine. We got footage of the adorable Dogpool and the Giant Man headquarters. But that's not what got the internet in a tizzy. It's legs.

Lady Deadpool's legs, to be specific.

People in the comments section began espousing their own theories. The prevailing one is that it's Taylor Swift. Others think they belong to Swift's bestie and Reynolds' wife, Blake Lively.

It's the legs

Even with Entertainment Weekly confirming it with Sony that Swift is NOT going to be in the movie, people still refuse to believe it.

Even with Reynolds writing the caption for the video, “I hope everyone gets to work with their best friend at least once in their lifetime. I know I can’t wait to finally do it.”

While the Deadpool star and Swift have been seen hanging out, it's usually because of Lively. I don't recall a one-one-one between the world's biggest pop star and Reynolds being shared on social media (because if it's not on the internet, it's not real). And even if someone does unearth said photo proof, one post does not a best friendship make.

You know why else people are convinced? People (the magazine) posited that it's because the pop superstar filmed her video of All Too Well (10 Minute Version) in the same house that Reynolds and Hugh Jackman filmed the announcement that Deadpool 3 was actually happening.

It's not the first time Swift has been rumored to make a cameo in the Deadpool universe. The latest, aside from this, was the new Deadpool & Wolverine poster where both characters are depicted wearing friendship bracelets that said “IMAX,” to promote the movie's release. These were mainstays in her Eras tour, with fans trading them with each other and even with celebrities. The tour recently made headlines as the highest-grossing tour of all time, raking in $2 billion.

Here's my fearless forecast: it's not Taylor Swift. It's also not Blake Lively. But I think it's going to be one of her squad, mostly because they're all mostly tall women. Maybe it's Gigi Hadid.

That's the fun of conspiracy theories like this. They're mostly harmless. If I turn out to be right, I'm claiming it right now and that'll be my one and only prediction of the year. If I'm wrong, no harm, no foul.

As for the character Lady Deadpool, Wanda Wilson, she hasn't been seen in a live-action movie before. She was known as the leader of the Deadpool Corps, or at least shared those duties with 616-Deadpool. She was also part of the X-Women, an all-female X-Men sub-group. According to canon, she's the most sane among all of the multiverse Deadpools.

Here's another fearless forecast: Swift IS going to be in Deadpool & Wolverine. As herself.
