The Cincinnati Bengals' Joe Burrow and Miami Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa are the two marquee quarterbacks of the 2020 draft class.

During the 2019 season, there was a debate about Burrow and Tagovailoa on who would be the first quarterback selected. if it wasn't for Tagovailoa's hip injury, there might have been a debate all the way up to the Bengals' first pick. Being in the same draft class and highly touted, these two are going to be connected their entire NFL careers, even if that isn't fair to either guy.

So who will have the better career? Let's break it down.

Tua Tagovailoa

Tua Tagovailoa has all physical abilities to be a superstar quarterback, but there are still concerns about injuries. Tagovailoa is a poised quarterback, who looks good in the pocket. Even when the pocket collapses around him, his first instinct isn't to run, it's to keep his eyes downfield and throw the ball. When he does need to escape the pressure, he has the speed to get away. His release is quick which will also really help him in the NFL. The one big concern with Tagovailoa will always be the injuries.  Who knows where his NFL career will take him in terms of teams, but the Dolphins have already proven they will be trying to surround him with talent.

Joe Burrow

Burrow was a bit of a late bloomer with LSU after being buried on the depth charter during his time at Ohio State. Burrow played well in 2018, but it was his 2019 season where everyone really started to take notice. The first thing to notice with Borrow's game is just how smart of a player he is. He is great with the presnap read, and does a great job of reading coverages to make sure he is making the correct throw. Once he's ready to make that throw, he has pinpoint accuracy all over the field. If his wideouts get open in Cincinnati, he is going to find him and get them the ball. The only real concern with Burrow now is he will turn 24 near the end of his rookie season.

So who will have the better career?

In terms of talent, they both have it. But there is one thing that Burrow has that Tagovailoa doesn't: durability. The hip injury was scary, but long term the issue is actually going to be the ankle injuries. It's clear the ankles can't hold up, and every time he gets hit there are going to be Dolphins fans and coaches holding their breath. Both of these players have the chance to be Hall of Famers, but Tagovailoa's injuries are going to hold him back from that.
