The Cincinnati Bengals selected Joe Burrow with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Burrow has had quite the road to the Bengals; just a few years ago he wasn't on the NFL radar. Burrow was a highly-touted recruit coming out of high school, with 247 Sports having him ranked as a four-star prospect. In the class of 2015, Burrow was the eighth-ranked dual quarterback.

Joe Burrow committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes, but he lost the starting job to Dwayne Haskins, which caused him to transfer to LSU.

During the 2018 season, Burrow was good but not great, throwing for 2,894 yards, 16 touchdowns, and five interceptions. It was during the 2019 season when everyone started to take notice. Burrow completed 76.3 percent of his passes for 5,671 yards, 60 touchdowns, and six interceptions. Burrow led the Tigers to a victory in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game over the Clemson Tigers. He now joins a different set of Tigers with the Bengals in Cincinnati, not Baton Rouge.

Joe Burrow is an elite NFL talent who could be a franchise quarterback for a long time with the Bengals. It starts for Burrow with his intelligence and how he reads the field. Before the snap, Burrow has a great feel for what the defense is going to do. He can sling the ball over the field with pinpoint accuracy. Burrow isn't afraid to take chances but he is smart about the chances he takes which limits his mistake.

Joe Burrow doesn't have many weaknesses with his game, but one is that he sometimes passes the ball while flat-footed. When he doesn't fully set for throws he can be inaccurate. Bengals coach Zac Taylor will want to work with him on this.

Joe Burrow was the top consensus quarterback in this class even before the national championship game. The hope is Burrow can lead the Bengals back to some success and playoff victories.
