Bradley Beal continued the massive scoring tear he's had since the halfway point of the season, hanging a game-high 34 points in a 124-110 win over the Golden State Warriors. The Washington Wizards star had scored back-to-back 50-point games last week but looked terribly unhappy as his team took losses against the Chicago Bulls and the Milwaukee Bucks during those games.
Beal looked upbeat after a sound win against the Warriors, only the second in the Wizards' last six games. He mentioned having fun playing basketball, inciting the question — when did it start being fun?
“It was always fun,” said Beal, according to Fred Katz of The Athletic. “Always fun. It gets frustrating, but that doesn’t mean it’s not (fun).”

Beal now has the franchise record for most consecutive games scoring 25 or more points, having racked up 18 straight in Sunday' rout of the Warriors. Wizards head coach Scott Brooks praised the high-octane star, who now ranks second in the league in scoring with 30.4 points per game.
“He's a consistent winner, and that's what it's about,” Brooks said of Beal, according to Candace Buckner of The Washington Post. “In this league, you can have a game here, a game there, but in order to be special you have to play with that consistent play, and Brad does. He comes in and brings it.”
The Wizards are 22-37 and four games back of the struggling Brooklyn Nets, who occupy the last playoff spot in the East. While catching up to them could prove tough, having a scorer of Beal's caliber gives Washington a puncher's chance, especially if he keeps having “fun” like he had on Sunday.
