Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal finally got to reveal one his best-kept secrets to Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade in their game on Friday.

Beal exchanged jerseys with Wade after the Heat escaped with a 115-109 win over the Wizards at AmericanAirlines Arena. The jersey exchange was a special moment for Beal, as he finally told Wade that he is one of the main reasons why he chose his current jersey number:

“He's part of the reason why I wear No. 3 and for the first time I told him that tonight,” Beal said, per Candace Buckner of The Washington Post. “I never told him that in all the years I played against him.”

Dwyane Wade is on a farewell tour during the final season of his illustrious NBA career. The 36-year-old superstar has already exchanged jerseys with fellow stars like LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Vince Carter, and Donovan Mitchell, to name a few.

Bradley Beal played inspired basketball, finishing with 33 points on top of nine rebounds and seven assists. However, his performance was not enough to give the injury-depleted Wizards their 16th win this season. Washington played without Markieff Morris, Dwight Howard, and John Wall.

Wade came off the bench and provided a huge spark for the Heat. The 12-time All Star finished with 14 points to go along with six assists and three rebounds in 25 minutes. Hassan Whiteside had a solid night with 21 points and 18 rebounds, while Josh Richardson and James Johnson added 18 and 17 points, respectively.

The Heat scored their 19th win this season against 18 defeats to remain sixth in the Eastern Conference standings. The Wizards, on the other hand, dropped to 15-24, and they currently outside of the top eight in the East.
