Washington Wizards big man Dwight Howard will return from his trip to China sporting some new ink.

Tattoos have been big in the NBA recently, but Howard has shied away from them in the past. Howard said his choice to not have tattoos stemmed from his religious beliefs. He stated that while he always thought they looked cool, he has always considered his body a temple.
Well it's clear that Howard's mentality has changed. His recent Instagram post featured a pair of lions on his left arm, a set of angel wings on his chest and a few other pieces. It'll be interesting to see what he has to say about this when he gets back to the states. I guess it really is better late than never for the 32-year-old center.

Howard has been quite the journeyman lately. The Washington Wizards make the fourth team he has joined in the last four seasons.
After departing with the Houston Rockets in 2016, Howard has donned jerseys for the his home team Atlanta Hawks and the Charlotte Hornets as well. Perhaps his new tattoos signify a new mindset he wants to bring to his team this year. Howard had his best season since his first season in Houston last year. He averaged 16.6 points, 12.5 rebounds and appeared in 81 games for the Hornets during their 2017-18 campaign.
The Wizards are a team that think they are only a piece or two away from contending for an NBA Championship. Now that Marcin Gortat has been shipped off to the LA Clippers, Howard will be expected to fill the void in the post.
