Jordan Poole of the Washington Wizards is a one-man adventure. He can be a talented playmaker and shot-creator, but sometimes, he also appears to have a penchant for turning plays into lowlights in the blink of an eye. Well, he got another one of those Monday night, when he passed up on an open shot for what appeared to be a harder one resulting in a Shaqtin a Fool entry.

Poole already had done a fantastic job of shaking off Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham's defense only for him to look for another defender to challenge him. That plan backfired right away, as Detroit rookie Ausar Thompson sent Poole's shot into oblivion. He could have just pulled up for a clean look at the basket, but Poole opted to go for style first, staring down Cunningham before lunging forward. That play is as confusing as it is hilarious, to say the least.

As expected, the internet immediately went down to work, reacting to the Wizards star's questionable decision.

“Jordan Poole is like Wembanyama in that any given night he does something we've never seen in the history of the game,” said @sreekyshooter

“the jordan poole experience, part ??? (we've lost count),” said Underdog NBA.

“Jordan Poole is so unserious,” shared @BrickMuse via X (formerly Twitter).

From @GoIdenState: “Jordan Poole with the nasty crossover on Cade Cunningham, but instead of taking the open shot he pauses long enough to get his shot swatted by Ausar Thompson 😭😭😭 Funniest player in the league bro”

Despite that blunder, Jordan Poole can expect a ton of touches to come his way going forward, as he's among the major offensive weapons of the Wizards together with Kyle Kuzma.
