The Washington Wizards got the win against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night – but it wasn't all rainbows and butterflies.

Two Wizards veterans and offseason additions, Montrezl Harrell and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, got into a heated altercation during the halftime break, according to a report from The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Teammates needed to separate them from one another as they were heading into the locker room after the halftime buzzer.

Via Shams:

Sources said Harrell became upset with Caldwell-Pope for not passing him the basketball on a play before the first half concluded, and the two started jawing during the walk to the locker room. As the two exchanged words, Harrell and Caldwell-Pope took swings toward each other — with neither connecting — and became entangled before teammates separated them, sources said.

The Wizards still managed to pull off a 122-118 win, which probably made the altercation easier to bury right in the ground on which it happened.

Both Harrell and Caldwell-Pope played a huge role in sealing the win, with Trez tallying 12 points and seven rebounds off the bench while KCP piled on 16 points with three triples on the evening.

With Bradley Beal out for the foreseeable future after entering health and safety protocols for the second time this season, a disturbance in team chemistry is the last thing Washington needs. Hopefully the Wizards vets were able to move on quickly to help them keep pace in a crowded Eastern Conference
